  The Staircase
Staircase.jpg
At the mouth of Glen Coe ( Glen of Weeping ) , Jim stands near the top of the 'Devil's Staircase', which can be seen stretching out behind him.

In spite of having such a terrible name the path really isn't too bad - even on a rainy day. It's a zigzag ascent of 820 ft / 250 metres from bottom to top.

This is a favourite spot for gangs of midges to ambush and 'mug' struggling walkers.

I must have helped 2 million of the young so-n-so's get a good start in life - by just walking up this hill.
