Rannoch Moor is one of the last great uninhabited wildernesses in Europe. It was here above the moor, during the Ice Age that a huge glacier started and moved south, gouging out what became Loch Lomond.

The very small figure on the path is Jim, I straggled back a-ways and we gave each other some space. We both enjoyed being alone in this great wildermess - without suffering any loneliness.
